John Mangan moved to Atlanta in 2009 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he attended Temple University. He began taking Automatic Improv classes in June of 2011, and was performing as a full ensemble member by April of 2012.
John has performed at the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Black Box Comedy Festival, SweetWater 420 Fest and many stages throughout the Atlanta metro. He’s also taken improv courses from funny people like Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall), David Koechner (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy) and Susan Messing (Annoyance Theater, The Second City, iO Theater).
By day, John works in sales and recruiting for an IT consulting company. John has strong opinions on comic books, craft beer and hip-hop.
In addition to performing improv and sketch comedy with Automatic Improv, John is one third of the world-famous “comedy” trio, Salon du Shoguns.
