Sarah Simmons Turner Automatic Improv

Sarah Simmons Turner hails from Winston Salem, North Carolina. She attended Appalachian State University, where she received her B.S. in Public Relations and Political Science before moving to Atlanta.

Sarah scored her first acting gig at the age of 3 on the Midwestern children’s television program “The Uncle Al Show,” and has been acting ever since.

She met Bill, Andy, Kevin and Rickey while taking weekly workshops at Push Push Theatre in 2009. They invited her to do a show with Automatic Improv, and she was hooked. If she wasn’t cast in a show, she was running tech or laughing in the front row. In 2010, Automatic asked Sarah to become a member of the ensemble, and she has been an ensemble member, as well as the group’s Marketing Director, ever since.

Sarah has received performance training from The University of Dayton, Laughing Matters, Relapse Theatre, Dad’s Garage, The Alliance Theatre, Appalachian State University, The Creative Studios, and Sam Christensen Studios (Los Angeles). She currently trains under Vince Pisani.

You can catch her starring in the films, ACE the Zombie (2012), Escape the Day (2013), The Hanging Man (2013), Communist Robot Aliens (2012), The Pigman from the Lake (2012), Crucible (2012), Stomping Grounds (2013) and she was reoccuring character on the international television drama, Idle Times.

When not doing improv or acting, Sarah loves to travel, watch movies, rock big sunglasses and attend festivals throughout Atlanta’s long and storied Festival Season.
